So I've been laid off and finish work in March, I will then be on gardening leave for a few months.

My DS turns 3 in January and we were due to start claiming his 30 hrs from April.
If I'm still employed and on gardening leave can I still claim the hours in March?

Can't seem to find the answer on google!

Gardening leave counts as employed, so technically yes, you will qualify at the point you apply.
You have to re-confirm your details every three months, so if you don’t find alternative employment to start once your garden leave finishes then you need to find out what to do - ie do you get a “grace period” or do you lose any further hours.
