CM Club:Really struggling with CP policy

Katymac · 15/06/2007 13:24

My netwrok co-ordinator says we need a robust CP policy as we are a larger setting

Apparently we need to have 1 or 2 people (always on site) to have CP responsibility

I am struggling with this as I don't have 1 or 2 people always on site

There are 5 of us and we work as a team - so any 2 (or 3) might be working

Any ideas how I can do this?

OMG I am dense today !!!!

If you don't have 2 people on site this is impossible surely.

What does your co-ordinator suggest in this isnstance ? Have you asked her?

Katymac · 15/06/2007 16:39

She keeps asking me to find something

It's my problem apparently

There is always a CM here but it could be one of four

Can't youjust ensure all the cm's that work on your premises have an up to date course on CP booked or just attended then you would be able to say that which ever staff member on your premises is able to be in charge of CP or have I miossed the point totally

Katymac · 15/06/2007 16:49

That is what I currently say - but she says it isn't good enough

Starting to realise why I aren't in a network!! Is OFSTED happy with the policy can you use that argument?

Katymac · 15/06/2007 17:36

Nah - Network is supposed to be better than OFSTED

But I got one from a nursery so I copied that

Why do they have to always be onsite?
Every member of staff should have learnt decent enough knowledge to deal properly with any initial concerns.
Managers should be contactable by phone for emergencies anyway.
Networks building empires again.

alison222 · 15/06/2007 18:27

So, are you sorted with your nursery policy then? or is that the one she says isn't good enough?

Katymac · 15/06/2007 20:37

I think my nursery policy is OK - thanks
