I'm just putting a document together with some questions to ask to try and filter out a shortlist of applicants for a summer AP. Any suggestions what to include? Obviously I have some questions, but I want to try and cover everything.

Why do you want to come to ......
Do you have any friends/family here
What would you like to do/see whilst you are here
What experience do you have of childcare
Can you cook
Do you know any first aid
What number would you dial in an emergency?
Do you like .... (insert whatever it is you would like help with, i.e. swimming, housework etc.)
Have you lived away from home before?
Do you smoke?

That type of stuff?

Hi Dizzy!

I am currently hunting for someone from Mar next year, and some of the answers I have had to these questions are shudderable.

What experience do you have of working with babies/toddlers and what do you like most about this type of work?

What things do you think are the most important when working with babies/toddlers?

If you were running a child care service for other people's babies and toddlers what things do you think would be important to you when employing
an assistant?
