Morning all, Just great, we get the wet weather on the day I offered to help on the school trip (an outdoor one). Well I shall take my raincoat hoping it will dry up!
Have a great day and I will be back to see what you have all been up to after school has finished and dropped DD off at rainbows.

Katymac · 14/06/2007 08:12

I'm going out to clean the car in a bit, then to do a clothes sort. These bs grow so quick, im sorting out every 2 months!!!

PinkChick · 14/06/2007 10:18

just arrived!..and then im like "oh its ok, never mind"..mum offered to drop us off, but we wouldnt have got back for dd so might take them both this afty as rain seems to be stopping a bit now!

looneytune · 14/06/2007 10:29

Oh, oh, oh - any cake left??? I don't get to the staffroom much and I've just sat down with a cuppa and my tummy is rubbling for something unhealthy!

Well rain finally arrived last night and so it's a bit fresher today but cloudy and spitting. I don't mind though, the babies don't seem to like it when it's really muggy! Hope it doesn't turn into proper rain later, not only for the sake of the school runs but also because I'm due to collect a big Little Tikes kitchen this afternoon and it would be a pain if chucking it down! Still, I feel dead chuffed - it's my newish pre-school run and they have been giving stuff away. The other day they had 3 plastic dolls houses (big ones) for grabs so we got one and then I asked the manager why the BIG plasic kitchen was outside as if they are giving it away, I'll have it and she said YES as otherwise it's off to the tip! (reminds me, maybe I should mention freecycle to them! ) I'm SOOO chuffed as they just need a good scrub and they'll be fab, fab, fab.

Anyway - CAKE?????

PinkChick · 14/06/2007 10:31

god, im constantly giving dd's school OUR stuff!..they got clothes, little tikes car, litlle tikes kitchen, chunky plastic desk and stool...

fifilou · 14/06/2007 10:34

loonytune...heres some cake. its chocolate, its guey but i dont have a picture, (im not as good at this as mo!)

Freecycle? ive heard of this before. we need a big toy sort out here, loads of baby and toddler toys that need to go.

looneytune · 14/06/2007 10:35

Oh, I find it VERY hard to get rid of kids things, I'm a bit of a collector! I was looking for a big plastic kitchen with lots of cupboards etc to go in the big wooden playhouse - kids will love helping to wash it and also playing with it in the playhouse (they've asked for it to go in the playroom and I said we have NO room inside the house for ANYTHING else - maybe time to have a sort out )

looneytune · 14/06/2007 10:37

Oh I could kiss you!! Gooey chocolate cake - yummy!!

Oh really, Freecycle is the best! I discovered it just before moving house and wow, the stuff people take off you - junk to us, treasure to others!!! I HIGHLY recommend it, it takes the hassle out of clearing out and it saves our landfills too!!

PinkChick · 14/06/2007 10:39

why dont we have a MN childminders freecycle kinda thing on here?????

looneytune · 14/06/2007 10:41

Could but how many people live local to each other?

fifilou · 14/06/2007 10:43

I have got to go get on with my jobs now, naughty naughty me, slap hands.

Work!

(TBH ive done most of my stuff, i only want to clean the car in and out bacause im going to a wedding and its full of kiddy rubbish and bogeys on the back windows.Gross!)

PinkChick · 14/06/2007 10:46

well theres a couple bu i wouldnt mind giving stuff away free for postage and we could search for cheapest way to send?, just think maybe for eg you want a kitchen, i have one, save you spending £30, spend £5 shipping????..or even swapping/loaning toys then swap back to keep things varied?

looneytune · 14/06/2007 10:57

£5 shipping - this thing is MASSIVE - would cost a lot more than £5 Like the idea though I'd never get the chance to post it - I never get to shops/post office etc etc so having people come and collect is fab. If I knew someone wanted something then of course I'd try my best to help

crace · 14/06/2007 12:34

There is a shipping deal on ebay that a box within certain measurements is only £5+ and double measurements is more etc

PC - you are onto something!

madge7 · 14/06/2007 13:24

HI Everyone,
