HI Everybody,

I know I have read about this before on here, but I just cant find it, my eyes are going all screwy looking it up - sorry to be a pain but I need a bit of help.

I want to go back to doing the daily diary, the mums love it, but I used to end up writing so much it took so much time to do away from the littlies.

Any idea's? How about a sheet I print out with a few ticky boxes for eat all/half/some etc and then a little space underneath to say what we did today kind of thing?

I have got the normal exercise books but wondered if anyone knew of any fab stuff to add to it?

Help, inspiration desperately needed!!

Bromley Child Minding Association do an A5 'Contact Book' which I fill in for my mindee's.

There are spaces for you to put date, meals provided, nappy changes, sleep times, activities for the day, whether they have been Happy, OK or Upset, Milestones reaches, new words used, and additional information (where I put what they have particularly enjoyed or any concerns). Then there is a space of the parents to write what they wish when they take it home, for you to see next time you mind the child.

Parents of mindee 1 love it, although mindee 2's parents really don't seem too bothered.

By the way, contact books are £1.50 each from BCMA, but really easy to copy yourself (thought about doing that but with printing and stuff probably cheaper to buy them).

Thanks Shosh, and yes please OFSTEDOUTSTANDING, just for more ideas, that would be great........

Is there at website for BCMA??

Thanks xx

Will do madge but could I have your email address please

star1976 · 13/06/2007 20:42

Hi, yes it's www.bromleycma.org.uk

They are really helpful with loads of things, like policies and stuff.

Sometimes overload a bit with info and take things too far but other than that really good!

madge7 · 13/06/2007 20:54
