I pay my childminder for 2 days a week, but my Mum has my baby one of these days most of the time. My childminder has said that as she is ofsted registered my child now needs to go to her on this day instead of my mum. Is this true, can she dictate this. She says she needs to register the child’s progress. Can’t she do this on the one day she does have her. As I am paying her is it not what I want for my baby.

As long as you're not just turning up without telling her I don't see the problem - I'd be delighted to be paid for a child I didn't care for Grin

Hi there, I am just about to start the training to become a childminder but I wondered if I could have advice on best on-line course providers and any indication in how long it took people to complete? TIA

Having thought more could it be baby is not meeting milestones and the cm feels that more regular support would help some carers do not give the same opportunities as others?
