Question to people who use all the chairs in a vauxhall Zaphera

I have 3 little ones all 2 and a baby. I am in the driving seat, i have a spare front seat as it has an airbag, so cant bve used so i have to put th double buggy there.

Then in the middle seat i have a rear facing baby seat and normal britax chair.

But then my problem is the 2 britax chairs that go in the back dont seem to fit nicely on the back chairs as they slightly hang over(as the seats are slighlty shorter) i never feel klike they are that tight.

Does everyone have this problem with any car seats, or is it the britax ones?
(they are quite old chairs i was given, so im wondereing if new ones are smaller).

?????

I used to have a Zafira and the only seats that fitted nicely in the back were Britax Freeway as it has a small base that sits on the seat. I think this is also now being sold as a Fisher Price seat but unsure of the name also this seat can be fitted on just a lap belt too which might also help you, and yes it is just as safe fitted like that, best of luck

have you thought about going and getting it checked at halfords/toysrus.?

There is also a product that makes the seat belt fit nicer and tigher than you would ever get it by hand even if you were super strong but i dont know the name of it. I think toyrus do it.

I have three babies to fit in and went into mothercare for advise. They looked on the car manufacturer website to check what carseat fit into the back of a Zafira.

I was told that the Britax First class is the only car seat recommended for going in the back. (Downside being that they cost £110 each but had to be done).

Think it must me MightyTight - try Halfords. I have one which I got a few years back, think it was around £10-£15.

Mighty Tite - this is from babyworld, could not locate on Halfords website.

Hi I have the same car and I had to buy two new Britax seats as well. However I got mine on line from kiddicare which saved money.

You can put a car seat in the front of the car with an air bag as long as the front seat is pushed as far back as possible and the childseat must be FACING the window. You cannot put a rear facing seat in the front. This would mean you can put baby and one child in back and safely put one in front.

mindermummy · 09/06/2007 16:26

i thought you could not put those chairs in the front with an air bag AT ALL...unless im wrong then????

Yes front of the car is ok so long as forward facing seat. Like madmum3 said, have to have seat as far back as possible too!
