Switching from CM to nanny - any advice for settling in?

DDs ( 4 & 2) are switching from CM to nanny in mid July. This is purely for logistical reasons ( CM is fab but can't take dd1 to school in Sept as just lives too far away).

We are all very upset at the prospect of leaving the CM. I'm sure the new nanny will be great too, but does anybody have any tips for settling children with a new carer?

Do most people take time off work when a nanny starts to show them the ropes?

Also, any tips about what to include /leave out of nanny job description? Off topic slightly but any advice welcome.
