What do I put in tax credits?

My DH will start his new job on Monday so I am informing tax credits online on that day. Just wondering though, from April to April, his annual salary is around £22k. Because he is starting part way through the year, do I just work it out from now until April (8 months, roughly £14k)? I don't want to make any mistakes so please can someone correct or help me lol. Thanks in advance!

I would give them a call to update as it can take a few weeks for online to be processed & if it's anything slightly confusing they're likely to get it wrong.

Yep, just average it out over the remainder of the tax year.
