Nah - not really

& my Deputy has just gone sick for a fortnight

I am so worried about her

Oh no poor you and poor her hopefully its not too bad and she will be back on her feet soon.

There is the whole thing about bosses not ohoning employees while they are sick - it's harassment

But I'm having her 3 children on Sunday to give her a break

How will I last a week without ringing her - never mind a fortnight

Our DD's are BFs too

Maybe you could get your DD to make her a get well card and give it too her on Sunday, or you could ring her and start the conversation by saying

I am ringing as Katymac your friend not your employer and this call is in no way related to work.

I know when I was employed as a nanny and went off sick I really appreciated it when my boss called for a chat and didnt see it as harrassment at all.
