Lonely Nanny in Clapham

Considering that we live in nappy valley, I am worried that my nanny isn't meeting like minded souls. She is really nice and good fun but is new to London and hasn't developed a good circle of friends yet. She seems to enjoy her work, but I also want to make sure she is happy in her social life as well.

So, if there are any nannies in the SW4/SW11 area with children around the 6 months to 1 year who want to have company going to the park, having coffee or like going to the pub in the evening please get in touch. Also, if you have any tips on group activities where nannies and babies can meet, please let me know.

PS we are already doing music sessions like Caterpiller music.

Try seeing if your nanny will post over at the NannyJob message boards. Your nanny may then find some other nannies working in the same area.

Personally I rarely meet other nannies - tend to meet childminders. If your nanny isn't the type to socialise with other nannies, then perhaps see if you can find any childminders in the area who would welcome someone tagging along on a trip to the park. I regularly go walking with a childminder friend of mine and the children all get to socialise, while we also get to chat. Works great - plus we all get exercise.
