I am re-doing my brochure today

Lots of stress

thebumcleaner · 31/05/2007 11:19

I am sat here watching the mindees play with duplo having a 5 minute cuppa before getting lunch at 12!

KaySamuels · 31/05/2007 12:30

Hi everyone, hope you all have lovely sunny weather too! I have an unexpected day off so have been sat out back with ds. My new brochures and flyers have come from vistaprint so am gonna write a list of where to put them, really need some new mindees!

DS actally tried some melon at lunch I was so pleased with him (picky eater).

nannynick · 31/05/2007 12:35

I've been doing my website as I expect you know due to this thread. Now that it seems to be dry outside, I am going to clean the inside of the car - over the past 1/2 term it has got very messy!

Earthymama · 31/05/2007 13:00

Only one mindee today so have DGC while DD and partner go for lunch.

As it stopped raining and we could see blue sky we went for a walk to the park and shops.
Big Mistake!! Just got back in, soaked to the skin, so I am drying coats and shoes etc.

Time for a den for kids and cuppa for me, I think!

PHEW............my problem baby has been even more upset this morning, mum not sure what wrong, been up in night etc etc, i know what she means as crying in pain today ANYWAY.............after tiring morning, I'm SOOOO chuffed as I put her down in the travel cot for a sleep and had my first success She's 3 months old and has never slept in travel cot.

Off to make lunch for myself and then it looks like I'm back to modeling with ds whilst she's not crying We're making a Flushed Away scene and so far we have a toilet with flush and lid and hole at the bottom with pipe attached to it for Roddie to fall down, we've also made Roddie's cage but ds (4) isn't satisfied - he wants more!!!!

I really fancy a yummy hot sausage roll - anyone got any????

KaySamuels · 31/05/2007 14:45

OH god dp, has just found out his work are shutting down, and will be making everyone redundant! Can't believe it, we had all this two years ago when I just had ds, got back on feet thinking his job was secure and bamm! Aarrgh!
Now I really do need more mindees! What are we going to do!?!

KaySamuels · 31/05/2007 14:46

Posted then read glad your baby is snoozing lt!

nannynick · 31/05/2007 14:53

Just noticed, it's over 2 hours since I said I was going to clean the car... so I'd really better get off Mumsnet, stop tinkering with my website and go out and clean the car!

looneytune · 31/05/2007 14:54

Oh no, how long has he worked there? I did well when I was made redundant but had been there 10 years.

Nick - LOVE the new look website - agreed with others about the content on home page and this is MUCH better

KaySamuels · 31/05/2007 15:13

No lt he hasn't been there long (about a year) so won't get much in the way of redundancy money (gonna have a look at his contract later). Thank god we have mortgage payment insurance!

Nick - had a look at your website earlier on and didn't get back to computer to post, I really like it (didn't see the earlier version so can't compare), clear, easy to navigate, etc. Doesn't time fly when you are putting something off!

nannynick · 31/05/2007 15:26

Sorry to hear about your dp's work Kay. Hope he is able to find another job quickly.

Have cleaned the car, up till when the vac battery ran out (it was fully charged when I started), so the car looks a lot better. Took it for a test drive and fluid leak seems to be worse today, lucky garage have it booked in for tomorrow. Have cancelled work tonight, as I don't feel it's safe to drive with children onboard. I rarely ever cancel, but when it comes to car safety I don't want to take the risk. Client is luckily happy about it, have known them over 9 years, and during that time have rarely ever cancelled. Still feel as though I'm letting them down though

mumlove · 31/05/2007 19:45

Kay Sorry to hear about your DH job, have they given him much notice.

Well I have got DD in bed for the night hopefully, she decided to wake up at 3.20 last night, she is 6 yrs old not a baby. I told her to go back to bed, I don't know how long she was awake for but I went back to sleep.
After running around today I now need a lovely day with no children (I wish).
