Can your friends children be your mindees?

Hi my bf is due to go back to work and has asked me to mind her ds aged 1. I don't have a problem with this and know it will work very well and we will be able to keep our personal and business affairs seperate. What I wanted to ask is this, I am her ds godmother and she is my ds godmother. We often go away together for weekends and holidays and have already discussed that when the boys are older it will be lovely because they can go sleep round each others houses or go on holiday together even if one of us has to work (They also sleep round each others now if we want to give each other a break) What I was wondering is, can a mindee also be a friends child for such things as sleep overs? I am not registered for overnight care and therefore would it just be classed as ds having a friend over? How do you cm with children manage to have sleep overs especially if your dc get really good friends with mindees?

I asked my inspector this, as I am not reg for overnight care. She said that as long as I was not being paid for the overnight it was not a problem.

Yeah, my old mindee is coming to stay soon but I'm not registered for overnight care - it's a friend thing and I'm not being paid so it's fine
