Mindee 2, age 5 (pre-schooler) fell on her way to mine this morning at 8am. her mum cleaned her up when she got to mine and then left for college. mindee 2 is stil crying - well more screaming actually "I want my mum and I wnat her now". 30 minutes now and I have tried everything to get her to stop. not helped at all by her older sister (8) who keeps saying "Oh, you want mum, I always want mum when i hurt myself".

I'm tempted to just leave it a while and see how we get on, but she is getting more and more wound up.

I have had this too with four year old on way home from nursery (wasn't hurt, just insistant!), I was firm but fair. You know your mum is at work right now and she won't hear her phone, she has to go to work to get pennies for your food, etc. He is fine now btw.

It's hard but try to ignore in a sympathetic way if possible . This same mindee had his arms wrapped round my left leg on saturday begging me not to leave his house and then ran up street away from his home to mine!!

He's very emotional bless him!

Did your mindee calm down down in the end?
