Stupid question time!

Have lots of toys for water play, like bath toy squeezy things that squirt water. Loads of them are getting a mildew type build up inside of them (looks black and bits have started coming off when squeezing the toys). How do I clean it out???

Soak in Milton?
Or White wine vinegar?

Can you put them in the dishwasher?

I stick a milton tablet in the water pit which helps prevent it too
