Update:

Hung washing out to dry, made lunch, eaten half, written baby diary so far and dreaming of next week...........can't believe what an EASY week I have!!! Not working Wednesday until 2.45 as 2 sisters off (I had to do it as my day off as silly appointment needed for ds development review at dr's and they only do stupid time on Wednesday's and don't want other kids there!!! ) AND my 1:1 baby is only with me on Thursday from 9.30-11.30ish and not got her next day so I'm all to myself until 12.45 when pick ds up Then just 1 mindee at 2.45 Although I've crammed in appointments for me and ds to get up to date with everything!! (jabs/smear etc)

Right, time to eat rest of lunch and get baby in car seat - all in 5 mins!!!

MaureenMLove · 18/05/2007 12:56

Just stopped for a spot of lunch with mindees. We're having a bit of a carpet picnic. Bit of ham, cheese,cue, toms, grapes (suitably prepared!) Strawberries for afters I think! I wonder how my DD is getting on, they are holding auditions for Wizz of Oz for the Year 6 production, once they've finished their last waste of time SATS paper! {Mo sings - Soooomewhere over the Rainbowwwwww!}

I am now having my lunch, mindee is in bed and is on holiday next friday so I will have 2 days off (rest, ready for the week after it's half term!).
Thinking what to do at the weekend, DD has a party sunday afternoon and we need to do some shopping, but I will wait and see what the weather brings.

hiya, phew a do need a cuppa n cake today(see other thread) children are playing in dd's room, we're about to do abths as girls want their hair washing and curling(got mindee practically overnight tonight).
i made a lovey picnic to take to park earlier, picked dd up and heavens opend!, still mindee had settled, so got home drounded and got dd's new picnic blanket out for indoor one...youngest mindee thought it was food fight and playrrom is wrecked, at least shes happy now

crace · 18/05/2007 15:59

Someone pour me a coffee, and make it strong. Mindee just left and shattered, gawd it's been a week of it.

MaureenMLove · 18/05/2007 16:03

Hi there, DD back from school, cross because she didn't get a main character in Wiz of Oz, until she said, 'the reason I'm so cross mummy, is because I chickened out of auditioning!' Bless! She's gonna have to be a munchkin now!!

PC - what was your decision on this mornings situation?

MaureenMLove · 18/05/2007 16:04

Scrub that PC! - I'm off to look at the other thread!!

looneytune · 18/05/2007 18:24

Note to self - never get excited about ANYTHING until it happens!!! I thought I'd got Thursday afternoon off and booked all outstanding Dr's appointments for Thursday afternoon for me and ds (I had my smear letter in Novemeber!). Then this afternoon mum emails me saying I'm needed on Thursday now as got important meeting Lovely family, not annoyed with her really, just the whole situation re: getting to the bloody Dr's!!! Emailed her back and said are you SURE you don't need me Friday as I'll try and shift my appointments - couldn't though as booked up now Then mum replies saying well maybe you could stick to just the morning as planned then, which was nice of her so I rang the Dr's straight back and re-booked the same appointments before someone nabbed them!!! BUT, still need confirmation from mum before I know for sure that I can keep them.

Isn't it a nightmare trying to sort these things out. I had a letter in Sept/Oct about my son's 3 and half year check up (he was 4 in March) and we're finally having it on Wednesday and now his jabs etc - they don't like me taking several kids in with me!

Anyway, it's Friday, dh is cooking me spag bol and I plan on drinking lots!!

Actually had quite a nice day today, went to the local country park after school run this afternoon and fed ducks, played in park, had ice cream and played in the cafe play area A very unexpected lovely warm sunny day But it's gone all cold now and looks like it's going to chuck it down again

PinkChick · 19/05/2007 19:59

hiya everyone, thanks for advice yesterday, was working till 10pm so just getting on pc now.
i actually rang mum, just chatting about her LO's day as she wouldnt be seeing her until sun as dad has her weekends, so letting her know about her poorly bum and that i had bathed her etc etc, then i said quite blatently, oh xxx what has xxx done to her head, im a bt worried baout the size of the bruise and didnt notice until xx has left this morn?..mu said mindee had been playing with nappy off as hger bum v.sore(nappyrash) and she wee'd.they ahve wooden flooring, mindee steps into it, skids across room and wack straight onto her face, she said she had told dad to mention it as it looked so bad and was gunna give him a call to shout at him because 'god knows what people must think!'..i told her i had had to fill out a 'existing injuries' form to cover myself incase anyone thought she had done it with me and she said absolutely right, no prob, daad will sihgn when he collects.ok, then....she said to me that mindee has been getting lots of bumps last week or so as she was into climbing on everything and pulling things down from above her.she said she had a sort of table cloth with ornament on top, on a radiator cover which was head hight on mindee, mindee had now taken to pulling the cloth OFF meaning anything on it would come too, she said she frightend the life out of mindee that week when she pulled at it and mum shouted 'xxx, No, thats going to fall' and mindee ducked!...never stopped her doing it , so mum has now moved offending items but seems that that is where the cowering will have come from???
i still have it logged, mentioned it to dad too and he was all for my forms being filled in and understood why, signed it no probs..so am going to keep and eye(like i would be anyway), i REALLY dont doubt these particular parents, they are both extre, ely loveing and caring, but certain things do strike a chord like this so will be on guard with all of mindes and these form in future!

dmo · 19/05/2007 20:38
