.....never to rely on parents to pay on time, have a family here 6.30-8am today, assumed kids would bring my money with them (do as a rule) - and mum was off yesterday so will have it. But no! No money, and I have a driving lesson at 9am which I am somehow going to have to pay for! Grr! I don't drive so can't run out to cash machine either!

what a pain for you - can't you ask the driving instructor to go past a cash machine for you ??

KaySamuels · 18/05/2007 07:11

can you pay by cheque?

We all seem to have the parents that don't pay, I would like to see their faces if there work didn't pay them on time!

I charge 5.00 per day late, Most parents I have never had to charge, the ones I have it has only been charged once

crace · 18/05/2007 10:56

Kay - I used to do that, I would have my instructor drive by one for me

are you learning to drive so you can do more with mindees??? can you put this through the expenses books?!!?!?!!?

MaureenMLove · 18/05/2007 11:19

I love the fact that we can now send txt messages now! I always feel so awkward asking for my money when that happens, I know I shouldn't, it is due to me afterall, but its hard. I had to send a txt this morning actually, but this lady is a darling usually and it was an oversight which never usually happens, she feels terrible and is dropping it through the door in her lunch break! (40min round trip!)

She will pay me about tea time when the banks are shut and ds is too tired for me to go food shopping - but never pays me saturday, just late on a friday so never gets hit with my late fee!
Am learning to drive as I spend a fortune on buses and taxis, can go out for day with mindees at the drop of a hat, get to playgroup on rainy days etc. And yes I will be putting what's allowable on expenses!

Kay put in your payment policy, that you are to be paid on arrival of said payment day, The 5.00 late payment will start from then.

It states in mine

Payment to be paid by 9.00am on the 1st of each month
Payments will be paid into the bank at 9.30am.
Any payments paid to me after that will be taken as LATE payments and the £5.00 charge will apply.

This stopped parents bringing it to me on pick up at 6.00pm on a friday before a Bank Holiday sort of Scenerio.
