Please help - how do I set up the online account in order to pay childminder to get £2 from government for every £8 put in? How do you set it up? It’s crazy, I need an idiots guide 😂

You must have an income under £100k and your partner also needs an income under £100k. Both incomes must be at least minimum wage.

It is called the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. I don't know about the parent application process other than the website says to expect it to take about 20 minutes to fill out the forms and about a week for account setup (and I expect some situations will take longer as it will depend on how much info they can verify via online systems and how much they need to do manually).

Thanks, I know we qualify for it but it’s just where to find the application etc I have been via the calculator a few times - it’s like a full time job in itself 😩

You can use the apply now link hidden at the bottom of this page www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-and-education-for-2-to-4-year-olds . It's almost as if they don't want anyone to find the application link Wink
