My ds is 20months and I mind 8 month old, 9,10 and 11 year old.
Every day when the parents arrive to collect their children he bursts into tears. Its getting quite embarassing really as when you open the door the parentis greeted with NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! followed by huge paddy. I have tried distracting etc but nothing works just wondered am I the only one or do any of you have same problem?

My dd gets upset aswell, and she is 4.
This week I have started doing her tea time 10 mins before they are due to leave so that she is distracted. Its working so far.
Bit harder with a 20 month old.

My ds has a cry too every time a mindee goes home but thankfully it is as they are walking up the path and going! Seems to realise they are coming back tho and if we pass school/nursery he asks if we can go get them all!

My oldest ds says that the children borrow his mummy while theirs is away, so knows that they go home (he is 5). Other ds has always been used to childminding, and ds3 will also accept it as always done it as well I suppose.
