Variation on AIBU, I'm afraid - GREAT AU PAIR website

Have just taken a preliminary look, spent all this time punching in our requirements. Get a result - loads of couples (didn't want that), girls wanting to work anywhere else but the UK, time frame not right etc etc. Is this a one off do you think or is it always so user unfriendly?

I got the same results - no one that was anything like my requirements - also get a daily email of unsuitable candidates and lots of 'XXXXX has added you to his/her wish list' - also not fulfilling the spec.

Did you pay to register? Because I'm really reluctant to do that just to continually get unsuitable people referred to us.

No, would only pay if I saw a suitable candidate. But have now got summer childcarer via gumtree so don't have to worry about au pairs for a couple of months.

Have you guys filled out your preferences? For example you can ask thenm not to e-mail people who don't meet your age criteria, and a million other criteria.

I think Greataupair is fab. Always get several worth talking to. In fact my new nanny who I found on great au pair is starting in July.

I have always found that you get loads of applicants who don't fulfil your criteria but they are easy to spot early on and I just delete them.
I actually think it is a great site-just takes a little bit of leg work....good luck.
We found our first wonderful nanny from Sheffield via Great AuPair.
