Where or how can I find an older nanny / housekeeper. Live in or out.

Agency, childcare.co.uk or nannyjob.co.uk
I'm in my 40's - does that make me an older nanny? Found last two jobs via ChildcareCoUk

in what age do you define "older nannies". I'm sure you don't want a 50+ aged nanny.

Super123 · 30/04/2018 06:03

Why do you assume this PaulMorel?

MeYouWye · 30/04/2018 06:09

You could try something like The Lady magazine? My Mum and her friends love the people's friend, wonder if they advertise? Even agencies might be helpful.
However if you want an older nanny as they are more experienced, it would be best to say has xx years experience rather than focus on age.

Foreverstressed28 · 30/04/2018 11:41

PaulMorel I wouldn't mind a 50+ nanny. My main concern is having someone with solid amount of experience with children and common sense and life skills. This I haven't found in any 18-25 year old of a typical nanny.

Meyouwye that's good advice about specifying number of year experience. Thanks x

This is something I have been considering, I have years of experience having brought up my own children. Besides the age and experience what qualifications would you be looking for?

eurochick · 30/04/2018 11:47

This would be age discrimination. You can request a certain number of years of experience if necessary for the role.

PaulMorel · 11/05/2018 07:04

Foreverstressed28.. I apologize for I literally understood the way you're looking for older nannies and that I based it on number(age). Well, that's a good idea to find a more experienced nanny.
