Just thought, you've probably all buggered off for the afternoon, haven't you? [mo considers a name change to BillyNoMates, as she whistles to herself in the staff room]

Shoshable · 11/05/2007 16:52

Off to dimmer with to friends, we first met at this Army Camp 35 years ago, then met up at various other ones in between, one sttled here, in the town, I live back on the camp and the other one lives in London, but is staying with the towm one.
We meet up once a year and have done since 1976, in those days we went out on the town, now its more a sedate meal as befitting three grandmothers

mumlove · 11/05/2007 17:24

Mindee just gone, dd doing her homework , I have put tea onto cook, so going to make myself a coffee and read what has been going on today.

crace · 11/05/2007 17:32

LT bump away, not sure which one you mean.

Happy to help - was it the poo one? I can't remember which thread that was under!

looneytune · 11/05/2007 17:34

Thank god today is over!!! At least 3 yr old mindee was picked up early or I wouldn't be finished yet. Off for a cry then tidy up and make ds's dinner (running late as baby was a nightmare and I didn't need to feed anyone else today so decided to wait!)

Oh sod it, I'm cracking open a beer NOW as I need it!

looneytune · 11/05/2007 17:34

Oh cheers, it is the poo one yes The sling was a definate no no before anyone re-suggests that

MaureenMLove · 11/05/2007 17:49

Do you know what? I wish I'd never jobs this club. You lot always finish before me on a Friday! [Mo wills the clock to move to 6.30 quick smart!]

MaureenMLove · 11/05/2007 17:49

What the hell does that mean!! I meant 'joined this club'!

crace · 11/05/2007 17:49

Can you remind which thread it was on ? x

crace · 11/05/2007 17:50

Oh poor MML - willing the time to move faster for you!

looneytune · 11/05/2007 17:55

MML - I usually finish at 6pm on Friday's (not long ago was 6.30pm every day), I was just lucky enough to have mindee collected early

Crace - now I've calmed a bit, I will find the thread and add to it

crace · 11/05/2007 17:58

Sorry it's this one - I am a dork. Ummm Catherine wouldn't go for days and days, in fact at 3-4 weeks she didn't go for 7 days and I was in a panic. I called the GP and they said not to worry.. I used to give her cooled boiled water with a tsp of muscavado or dark brown sugar to get things moving. She was a bear until she went. On those days when I knew she was uncomfortable I would give her the water. It didn't take long.. I know it's an old method but it worked for us, and I know lots of people who say it's nonsense but I was desperate.

Is baby bottle fed, what formula is it on? She might need some water to get things going? I can't remember what age they recommend orange or prune juice (very diluted). Has mum seen HV?

looneytune · 11/05/2007 18:24

Just updated the thread, would you mind having a look? See if anything rings true with you? Parents say poos are wetter now? (i don't see as they are usually at night) and seem to think it's ok but I'm not sure?

MaureenMLove · 11/05/2007 19:26

Hurrah! I'm done. Mindee left at 6.30 and its taken me 45mins to clean up the aftermath! Tell me, where do you keep all your childminding toys? I shift mine around all the time, so they don't encroach on my family life, but there's always a pram or dolls house or something sticking out!

dmo · 12/05/2007 12:03

had a bad day yesterday went to get mindee from pre-school at 11.30am and felt really light headed when i arrived so sat down till he came out.
walked home and passed out in my house i had 3 mindees
called all parents all children went home and i just feel like i'm coming around now
just slept yesterday counldnt look at the tv or print as my head felt like a roller coaster
staying in bed today all day

looneytune · 12/05/2007 12:24

Oh no DMO, nightmare. You poor thing! I presume all mindees were ok and you were not 'out' for too long? Gosh, you must have been dead worried

Try and rest as much as possible this weekend and don't work Monday if you're not up to it!!

dmo · 12/05/2007 21:19

just got a text from a parent to say mindee wont be coming to me anymore as i let them down on friday
btw its the mindee who stays with uncle all weekend

mogs0 · 12/05/2007 21:47

That's awful! They obviously don't know a good cm when they see one!

Katymac · 12/05/2007 21:50

OMG how awful

Imagine being sacked (I know your not employed) for being ill

That is terrible, awful, horrible

I'm sorry

KaySamuels · 12/05/2007 22:36

Dmo that is awful! Hope you are feeling better now you poor thing, when you said yo had passed out the other day I was worried about you. As for the mum who gave you notice it's her loss, and at least while you had the mindee you did something constructive with regards to getting him some help/child being monitored.

crace · 13/05/2007 06:32

DMO how awful for you! How scary that must have been..

Hope you are feeling better today x

dmo · 13/05/2007 18:23

thanks guys
