Have you tried The Aupair Company ? I've had a couple of good responses from this.

I always seem to get loads of applicants from aupair-world.net and like their search/messages facilities. It sends a mail to say if you are/not interested in them. Greataupair seems to be a bit sparce with applicants, unless you want someone from Indonesia or the Phillipines. Having said that, my new AP came from thegumtree.com.

I did sign up with newaupair but after numerous contacts with potential au pairs felt it was very much designed for the au pair to pick their family, there is also the potential for waiting for the highest bidder which feels very odd! We've been told we're not right for several gals - perhaps I was too honest about what I required!

I might go with an agency after all!!

Just wondering if anyone recommend a good Au pair agency with a person at the end of a phone. I have registered with a hopeless agency that?s not even bothered to phone me back after several messages. Ideally need an agency that?s quick with applicants, provides a good responsive services, and sends suitable applicants

I use aupairworld.net. They seem to have the biggest european & african membership.

My dd will be away for the Summer and I have just found a lovely (we have communicated via email and telephone) German girl through aupairworld.
I had over 270 applications in 2 days which was incredible. Loads of Eastern Europeans.
I am now an expert on what prospective au pairs ought to put on their profiles to make sure they are at least shortlisted.
I ended up with a shortlist of 6 really good ones and eventually chose one.
I did have an application from a very nice French girl, 18, from Brittany who is looking for Summer au pair job in England. I felt really bad turning her down as she sounded ideal and really keen and lovely.
If anyone wants her details and to see her application to me please email me. I know she is still looking - and there is a lot of competition out there!
