I rarely go out so not like I'd be STEALING him or her from you, honest.

Anyway, want a good babysitter who doesn't charge the earth for my 3 urchins - pref. a driver.

Thanks

What about smeeinit, she a childminder in the St Albans/Redbourne area.

I don't know if she does babysitting but she may be able to point you in the right direction.

I like it how you say HIM Nice to see you would consider a male babysitter. Alas I'm not in your area.

Out of interest, why a driver? Is it so that you don't have to worry about how they get to/from your home, or are your children doing evening activities from which they need collecting?

Try contacting local Childminders, such to see if they would be interested - never know you may find one who wants the extra income.
Post on Nanny Shares as lots of childcare ads tend to go on there, not just Nanny Shares.
Perhaps try finding a local Nanny who would do some evening babysitting - NannyJob Babysitter Search

Thanks lizziemun, I'd forgotten about smeeinit.

Hi Nick! I'd be perfectly happy to have a male babysitter. The driver preference is because I couldn't afford to go out plus pay for taxis for the babysitter as well as the babysitting fee! I couldn't offer to drive them home either because I'm a single parent, unfortunately. Do agencies charge extortionate fees - I mean, I know you are an agency too but what do you reckon?

I'm not an agency... I just a nanny who knows about marketing

Childcare Agencies near me charge less than I do. So no, their fees are not extortionate, though it can be hard to work out what the fees actually are, as they are often made up of several different fees - such as annual membership, booking fee, hourly fee.

Comparison of some Babysitting Agencies

I would have thought most babysitters these days would provide their own transport to/from the child's home. If I were a parent I would not be wanting to pay for a taxi for the babysitter. When I was a teenager, I used to use my peddle bike... come rain or shine, or even snow. Oh those were the days!

I could find you a 6th former who sits for the children I childmind, most of them have their own cars

DD babysits when she is home for lots of families in St Albans.

I do it occasionally, but charge the same as Nick. see my website

here it is a bit out of date, but all core info is the same, just DD is 21 and DS is 20 now!

Hi! Liking your website - do you still do all this?

I'm a (recently become) lone parent without much other support at all so I may be looking for childcare options beyond babysitting when I get back to working full time.

In the meantime 6th former babysitter sounds good! Please tell me more...
