Ok, cool - I will join you in the virtual fag (before I was a social smoker, at the pub and away from the kiddies - I can admit it )

Am now free! However, mindees dad usually hangs around for a natter (about 15 mins) was here for 30 mins! Yeesh

I have just finished the second on 2 interviews - and neither lady is ideal

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 13:52

Mumlove it was the lady who took over from KT, ahe came to see me about the buddy scheme.

We went to Hanworthy Park yesterday, have you seen that they are building a new play area for under 8's

It's great that they are finally changing the play ground at Hamworthy Park, it was becomming a danger. They are also changing a playground about 1 mile from me.

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 14:07

Just had mindee3 (started yesterday) dad called to ask if could come and collect now as going away (contracted til 6pm) - told mindee who said 'no, i don't want to go yet, i want to stay here and play' - how sweet is that!! When I collected from pre-school this afternoon, she came runny out shouting 'Looneytune' and jumped up for a cuddle - BLESS!!! I'm loving my job at the moment

So, it's Friday and now I get to finish at 5.30 - yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 16:19

I love fridays, contracted till 4.30 for the last, but very rare havnt finished by 3.00, I love the Army on Fridays

OP posts:
looneytune · 04/05/2007 16:25

Sounds lovely, I'm used to finishing at 6.30pm every day and also 6.45am starts but luckily I start later these days and on Thursday's & Friday's finish at 6pm

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 16:45

Start at 7.00 everyday, but often on a wednesday youngest will go early (Army have 'sports afternoon' DH usually goes Duvet surfing) and they usually knock of early on a friday so pick their children up early

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 16:57

DH going to pick up my father at 6, then a quite weekend, DH going on the road on Saturday evening back Monday night, Pops going back Sunday night, so Monday is all for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

OP posts:
looneytune · 04/05/2007 17:05

Day to yourself on Monday - nice!

What's up with pops? Hope nothing serious!

MaureenMLove · 04/05/2007 17:07

don't finish til 6.30 Had a crazy couple of hours after school. Most fed and gone home, still 2 more 2 go. One mindee went home with his grandad, he is such an arrogant man! He doesnt even speak to me at the door, just says hello to his grand son, picks up his bags and walks off! I shouted 'bye then!' Shall have to have words with mother on Tuesday.

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 17:10

Pops is 78 and realtivily fit for his age, but is diabetic, and noticed he was losing feeling in his left lowere leg, its a circulation thing, so is having just a small op to help.

It will be a nice break for me!

When he is here at a weekend he talks me to death, as has nobody to talk to at home, but when mindee age 4 is here they try and out talk each other!

OP posts:
looneytune · 04/05/2007 17:38

Maureen - have a nice big glass of wine when you finish! I'll 'ching' you when you're ready!

Shosha - hope the op goes well, that's so funny about the mindee!! My parents live with my nan with bad dementia and we don't see them often as 4 hr drive but when we do, ds (4) is the same and they talk each other to death

Anyway, I'M FINISHED for the day - YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE. Think I'll crack open a beer as it's Friday

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 17:47

Looney it is wonderful to watch the old and young together, he is 72 years older than her, but loves to sit and talk with her, and she adores him, he has got all his faculties, and knows so much, he answers her questions in ways that she understands.

When my DGD was little, about 8 years ago, I had a sand pit which was the one shaped like a shell, you could put water in the other side, well left him outside watching her while I did something else, could here great giggling going on, so went to have a look, there they were water tipped in the sand 'paddling at the beach'.

really, really need wine tonight! Need to go out for it tho, so I cant even crack it open and sniff it! Last mindee sitting on my lap eating grapes. Hope he doesn't want more, I've just cut up half hundred weight! Very dull.

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 17:58

SalsaMo want a sniff of mine

OP posts:
looneytune · 04/05/2007 18:08

Shosha - that sounds so funny

Maureen - go and grab a bottle as soon as you can, sure you'll feel much better after

Looneytune's beer goes 'crack' ]

looneytune · 04/05/2007 18:08

Mmmmm - lovely

looneytune · 04/05/2007 18:52

Come on, someone chat or else I may have to grab some crisps and if Mojomummy finds out, I'm in trouble - we're both on a diet!!!

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 19:07

Had to have a bath and clear uo the mess DH had made when he flooded the bath room, and open MN bar as nobdy else had!

So what do you want to chat about

OP posts:
looneytune · 04/05/2007 19:31

I decided to take ds up to take my mind off crisps!!! Didn't want to chat about anything in particular - just thought keeping my hands busy typing was better than opening a packet of crisps

I wonder if Maureen has managed to get her wine yet???
