nannypaye is cheaper. Lots of people on here use them. (including me)

Did you find a nanny?

Tutter · 01/05/2007 14:01

yes, nanny/mothers help - age 20, doing nvq3 in childcare

thanks for all your help. i did use an agency in the end, but would imagine being braver in the future once i'm more au fait with the process

Oh good. Glad you found someone.

nannyj · 01/05/2007 17:08

My bosses use nannypaye and have never had any problems.

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:09

I like nannypaye

PrincessPeaHead · 01/05/2007 17:10

we use nannytax because we've used them for the last 9 years when they were the only gig in town
can't fault them
except they are v expensive

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:11

the man at nannypaye is terribly nice

PrincessPeaHead · 01/05/2007 17:11

we all know petronella has been banging his brains out for YEARS

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:15

Indeed

annh · 01/05/2007 17:16

I think he's a very nice man too!

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:16

a very very nice man

Eleusis · 01/05/2007 17:16

I will admit that nannytax has the better website. I always advise newcomers to this nanny game to read the nannytax website and then hire nanny paye. And the lovely man's name is Graham.

How's the new nanny peahead? Has she started yet? And what kind of car did you get her?

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:16

he has an enormous calculator

PetronellaPinkPants · 01/05/2007 17:17

have you been diddling him too Eleusis?

Eleusis · 01/05/2007 17:17

No, it takes more than a big calculator to impress me.

Millarkie · 01/05/2007 17:50

I recommend Graham too - but now I'm getting worried that he's getting recommended so much he might not have as much time for ME and my various nanny woes

Has anyone used TaxingNannies? Have heard good things about them on the agency grapevine, though price wise they are similar to NannyTax. NannyPAYE is the one I generally suggest parents use, as Graham (and his team, I think he does have staff) are always keen to help anyone who contact's them, be they a parent or a nanny.

Eleusis · 01/05/2007 19:51

Oh, then I must be special because I always e-mailed back by Graham himself.

Millarkie · 01/05/2007 21:34

I have spoken to a laydee at nannypaye but...then she put me through to talk to Graham...and it's Graham who emails me.
Unless..there's a team but they're all called Graham?

PrincessPeaHead · 01/05/2007 22:41

hi eleusis - new nanny starts on 23rd, I've bought her a vw touran (its rather nice actually!)
