CM Club- birthday pressies for mindess what to get??

I have a mindee who woll be two week after next.

Was wondering what type of pressie to get and on average how much to spend. Or even if I should just give card without a gift. Not sure what to do really and was wondering what the norm was/is.??

Ispend about £10.00on my mindees birthdays, but only give them a book at christmas that I save my book points from the book people all year for, its to much to buy for at christmas, so thats why I spend more on their birthdays.

It really depends on what you would like to do about present giving.
I do birthdays and christmas only and spend about £5 each. Normally get a book or something arts/crafts.

I use the bookpeople too - for leaving presents & xmas mostly. Also I buy on 3 for 2 offers at Boots etc for baby toys and I buy a lot of reduced items like this from

don't forget to put the gift, card & wrap, tape etc all down as expenses on your accounts!

before and after school children normally £7 full timers £20 and part time £10

just been 2 after school childrens birthdays
for the 5yr old he got a book about dinosaurs from the works and a dinosaur from ELC
For the 11yr old he got a billabong t-shirt

for 2yr olds

I always buy a present for my mindees. I tend to spend more on those that are more full-time, but don't have fixed amounts - if I can get something in a sale, then I'll do that.
