wv14 is oh bugger i nearly said the name of the town/city then - sorry! have you thought about looking on your local council's website for links to local childcare or for links to sure start website? they should have the info you're looking for. i used to live in ws4 so it's not too far away from you. have you thought about popping into local library for info as well? they are a good bit different to how they used to be.

Thanks for the info FransMom but I've managed to find a CM who I'm really happy with. The local CIS sent me lists of CMs in and around the area and she was on the list. I really like her and am taking dd for a few sessions with her next week - I hope she likes her too!
