I know I'm posing on the wrong board, but nobody is answering me on the geeky board!!!

I need a new computer, buy dont know too much about computers, I've got a 6 year old laptop!!

I need one that my son (12) can play the latest games on, I can surf the interent quick, can copy CD's quick and store photo's

Can anyone recommend one, and should I go for a PC or laptop?

Many thanks

pc is for childminding and laptop is for personal
i love the laptop for storage as it just pops into a case
the pc is fab and has the printer conected to it all the time (as i print lots of stuff off)
if i didnt childmind i would prob just have the laptop

I have a laptop does all you want and mindees use it too. Staples have one for £399 at the moment which is where I got mine. Also got all in one printer, scanner, and can put photo card from camera in it too, they have one in Staples also, Epson for £49.99 just like one I have, best of luck

just wondered if you charged the pc/laptop to the business?

I need a new one and wondered if I could add it as a new needed item

you can add a % towards your business depends how much you use it for work and pleasure
i put 60% of the cost of the pc towards work
and 80% of the printer
