Hi All,

Our DS will be turning 3 soon and we're getting huge amounts of conflicting information with regards to the free hours we'll be entitled to. We live in England but our sons Nursery is in Wales as it's close to my office. Our local council are saying we need to contact the Welsh government for the 10 hours free/week but the Welsh side (Chepstow, Monmouthshire) are saying that we're entitled to the 15 hours free from our Local council in England.

Can anybody give any further advice on this??

Ask the nursery....I bet they've encountered this before.

I have asked the nursery, unfortunately they're not entirely sure either, it's a fairly new nursery.

Phone another, more established nursery as though you're enquiring generally. Ask them.

I imagine that since your a resident in England then that's the scheme you would have to use? Whether or not you'd be able to use those hours in a Welsh nursery I'm not sure. Maybe you'll have to choose between paying for Welsh nursery or using free hours at a nursery in England.
