How long in advance to start talking to childminder before I go back to work.

I'm going back to work in December this year by which time my dd will be 10 months old. When is a good time to start talking to childminders and how long in advance will they know about vacancies?

Start investigating now. Some childminders will know they'll have a vacancy coming up - if, say, one of the children in their care is due to go to school; others will know others on the circuit.

have a good look around and talk to different childcarers so you get a varity to look at good luck
