my ds is 2.5 he likes to
play with big cardboard boxes, put on head hide under, can be a car tunnel, house, etc
an inflatable beach ball in the house or a normal ball outside, lots of games with that
music to dance to
copy me do (run on spot, stretch, jump, touch your nose, toes etc)
play skittles/bowling (can make these if you don't have any from bottles)
play den with a pop up tent or blankets over the table
tea party host (all plastic food etc)
I make him involved in every little bit including setting up, fetching things, and tidying up to play something new...they have so much energy and want to play with everything all at once don't they, I can sympathise with your whirlwind situation!
