Help my nanny leave the country...

and find another nice nanny job. Her visa is expiring and so she must leave us .

She applied for job looking after a baby in belgium. So I had to talk to the dreaded eveil agency people. And in their e-mail to me for the reference they said "I am aware that they were not employed as a nanny, but I would appreciate you completing this form in relation to their role to the best of your abilities.
" That is complete and utter tish as she is most certainly a nanny. So, I just think they aren't going to do much for her.

So does anyone have any ideas on where she might look for a job outside of the UK? She is Canadian so I'm not sure what the visa implications are. But thought some wise mumsnetters might have some ideas.

Does The Lady magazine still run the ads for Nannies/Au Pairs etc? That's where I got my au pair job from - ahem 20 yrs ago .

Has she tried putting a profile on greataupair.com? They cover nannies as well...

Maybe I'll just suggest she google some jobs and locations that appeal to her.

I think Greataupair tends to be very au pair focussed -- although I did just hire my next nanny from there...

Yes, she needs to leave the UK. I'll suggest KiwiOz to her (but only because you recommend it, Jura).

I'm n ot really sure where she wants to go. Initially she wanted to stick with English speaking countries. She worked in Holland for a year and I think she had a bit of a hard time because of the language barrier. But, she applied for a job in Belgium that I think she really wants.

She loves Italy so I'm sure she could be persuaded to move there.
