Tax credits. What is childcare?

Currently I work term time. Thinking of giving it up and working through holidays. Tax credits need childcare to be registered. What does that mean and how do I know what's registered? My DD dance class runs a two day dance workshop each holiday. Would this count? The local equestrian centre runs a holiday club. Would this count?

It means ofstead registered childcare provider, you can search these online.

I doubt dance workshops count but holiday club might.

You need to ask the setting. They need to be Ofsted registered iirc.

Thank you. That's more likely to be nursery type places with holiday clubs than activity clubs isn't it. Shame. I might be better sticking to term time job.

Our local prep school holiday club is eligible.

PGL and some other holiday clubs are approved/registered childcare providers. You need to ask the class provider.
