Ofsted are coming to do my first inspection not too worried about how I will rate at looking after kids as have been doing it for years as a nanny so only prob will be if they tell me I have done it wrong!!!

Think I read somewhere that I cant have tweezers in my firstaid kit and also where do i stand on antiseptic wipes etc.

Could really do with some advice as dont want to lose marks on my first inspection!!!!! Thanks

You should have wipes but not tweezers, but it is really up to inspector I was told to have scissors, another CM was told not to as another child may pick them up and hurt themselves while you are treating injury!!!

check everything in date in first aid box-had my ispection friday and she said that was a biggy-mine was)
i got my box from ncma and mentioned to her it had plasters in and safety pins, told her i had taken pins out but left plasters in as wasnt sure if there had been changes?..she didnt really clear it up, but also never told me to take them out???..i have sling bandages, small bandages, large bandages no alcahol wipes, plasters, latex gloves and think thats it..she did say some are hard and fast on some things and not others??..make sure you have travel one too with same stuff in.good luck
