CM Club:- Holidays

The way I deal with holidays and charging is:-
My holidays, usually 2 weeks, then odd days through the year NO CHARGE
Parent's Holidays, different times for each mindee, PAYMENT AS USUAL
As I haven't made any plans this year would it be best to have time off at the same time as mindee with most hours and ask other parents to fit around that?
I don't know why this seems like a problem but I can't seem to get my head straight over this!
(I'm wondering what they put in that Green and Blacks Choc that is so addictive and makes me incapable of rational thought!!)
I'd appreciate your comments and advice.

Sounds fair.

In my contract I inform parents that I will take 4 weeks holiday with no charge.

Child's holidays are all full fee.

Bank hols are no charge.

I'm not very good about planning my holidays for the year ahead like some do. I want to take the next half term off but am worried that the parents won't be able to get cover.

I'm going to go and make a list because the more I think about it, I have actually got a few things I need to take time off for.

Also, not sure about the Green and Black's thing, I just stick to good old Cadburys!!

i have to make a list for the up coming years hols or i would take all 4 wks in jan

normally parents pay half fees when i'm on hol and full fees when they are
i give parents a list of the years holidays jan to jan after christmas and they normally book the same weeks off as me

booking the same hols as your mindee would be great for the parents as they dont have to find extra cover when your away

Your policy sounds fine to me... choose whatever holiday you like. If a parent wants to match their holiday with yours, they can then do so.

Cadburys Schweppes has owned Green & Blacks since May 2005, though Green & Blacks say they operate as a stand alone business. I'm beginning to change from Dairy Milk to Green & Blacks - as more cocoa, thus less sugar, less fat etc.

Thank you all, still arsing around trying to predict when the weather will be wonderful!!
I'm sad cos I've been to the same village in Greece for many years, It's a secret before you ask, and I'll miss it, and my friends there, lots. But I just can't afford it this year, so may try to do a festival, a small one like Green Gathering or Green Man and a couple of camping trips. And of course the allotment is under construction so I'll make a decision tonight and let the parents know.
It's bound to rain whenever I choose!!
Have just realised I am rambling, so sorry, blame the whiskey and ginger, will slink off to bed now
