30 hours funded and maternity leave

Does anyone know how it works? I believe if you're returning to work, you apply as if you're currently working. What if you're not returning? What if you're not sure? If you say you're returning but then don't, or redundancy (or change of mind!), do you pay anything back?

It doesn't matter if you're considering not returning to work or if you don't return - as long as you're on maternity leave you are eligible for 30 free hours.

My question is - if I resign from my job halfway through mat leave but continue to be paid smp by my employer as per usual until 9 months of mat leave are finished , am I still eligible for 30 hours?

Anythingnoteverything you wouldn't have to pay the 30 funded hours back if you decided not to return to work. I also read that if you lose your job there is a grace period in which to find a new job.
