CM Club: New Consultation - Childcare Registration Requirements

New Consultation - Childcare Registration Requirements

DfES want our views on how they implement a new system of compulsory registration to replace the current registration arrangements for childcare (children under the age of eight).

Includes the information on the registration certificate - so if you feel that needs to change, so that it is clearer as to what is meant, then now is your chance to have your say.

Question 3 on the response form is:
"Are there any aspects of the registration arrangements which could be changed to reduce the administration costs in respect of applicants for registration and registered providers?"
I would like it if I didn't have to have multiple CRB checks done each year... but I think the CRB are a little way off from getting that sorted out.

But for anyone with ideas for how to keep costs for the new scheme low, then read the consultation documents and give DfES your feedback, never known they may take up an idea you put forward.
