Yesterday it was too much food, on Friday it was turning up at 6.30, 1 1/2 hours after i was due to finish (although i shouldn't have expectations about when people finsih should I). Today, mindee 2 - not the one with the over packed lunchbox, the other one arrived as usual with his bag and lunchbox. his bag had 3 nappies in it. I've changed him once because his nappy was very wet and full, changed him again before he went to playgroup because he pooed. They have just called me, "we have no nappies for mindee 2, and he has pooed again and we can't get in touch with his dad or mum".
So what am I supposed to do, I'm not supposed to pick him up till 4pm and keep him till5.

why have they phoned you? have they no spare nappies to borrow? not good if they cant contact parents child could be on the way to hosptal

Don't get me started dmo. Thye (the nursery/playgroup place) asked me a couple of weeks ag if I could mention to the mum that her bill hadn't been paid!. I don't know why they can't get in touch with the parents, and even if they could what could they do, go home and get some more maybe?. When they called me I said did they not have spares for emergency, and she said "Well, yes we do, but they are for emergencies oonly". Well what's this if it's not an emergency.
I feel a bit bad now as I said to them that i wasn't going down with nappies as I had no spare ones, and unless he is ill, then there was no need to get in touch. I'm trying to do the garden!

good on you i wouldnt go down unless i was going that way
poor child cant believe they cant get hold of the parents
btw they shouldnt really talk bills with you thats between parent and nursery its like me going into school and saying to class teacher x hasnt paid his bill with me could you ask parents for the money tonight

Well they are awlays late n paying me - I didn't say that to the nursery though. I got the money owed me for the past 2/3 weeks on friday, and then todays money which should be paid when dad picks mindee up , isn't getting paid until tomorrow, because "the cash machine in the village isn't working and I don't want to drive into town and get it". I told him it had better be paid before lunchtime tomorrow as I'm away then!

i would speak to the nursery and tell them that as a childminder you are not responsable for dealing with payments and to only contact them, if you get paid whilst hes there, i can see why theyd ring you for nappies, but either ask mum to send more, or ask her for money to buy some to keep in?!
