Does anyone know of any nanny agencies in the Teddington, Middlesex area.
Also have you heard of a book about things to do with children in this area - I seem to recall having seen one - just that we are moving to the area in 3 weeks and it would be really helpful.

I take it you are looking for a nanny? Have you tried nannyjob.co.uk, gumtree.com, and greataupair.com. There are some agencies around, but I'm never use them so can't recommend. Perhaps someone else who has be be round to advise.

We are also moving to Teddington in a few weeks. I shall be looking for things to do with a 3 1/2 year old - can't wait to be living by the river! If I hear of anything I'll let you know.

there is a book called Toddler on Thames or something.

Thabk you for all of your advice - I will be looking for things to do around the area with 4 children - 5 1/2, 4, 2 1/2 and 6 months!!!! So if anyone has any ideas/advice I would be grateful - finding this really quite scary at the moment - we have had 5 weeks to relocate so it is all happening quite quickly.

So, where are you moving from? There is a West London meet up thread. We get together for nights out (no kids!) about once a month and also some people get together (with kids) for day time meets. I work full time, so don't join the day time meets.

Are you at home, or do you work? Are you looking for a sole charge nanny or a mother's help?

You should be able to pick up the Toddler book in Borad Street books which is opposite Tesco in High St.

There are loads of families here with young children and absolutely loads of things to do with them: lots of mum & toddler groups (although some have waiting lists), lots of activities like dancing, music clubs, Gymboree etc. There are swimming pools in Teddington and Hampton (lovely open air pool) and lots of playgrounds. Hampton Hill has 'the little gym' with gymnastics for all ages. And of course you have the river and Bushy Park, so lots of open space where you see children and parents cycling. I don't know about nanny agencies, but there are lots in the yellow pages, so try yell.com
