Looking for a DBS checked childminder to babysit

I just moved from London to just outside Warminster and have no family to rely on to babysit. I have never needed a babysitter before and would prefer a childminder who babysits for extra cash. But I have. I idea where to look. All help would be grateful we are getting desperate.

Have you tried childcare.co.uk?

Or even local Facebook selling sites may be able to recommend some

Ofsted website?

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 21/08/2017 15:05

I can recommend sitters.co.uk

It's really easy to use, they've never let me down and all their carers are very experienced. Everybody they have sent has been really lovely. One lady was a retired primary school Headteacher who just missed spending time with children!! I use them to cover full days (INSET etc).

I am in the West country so can confirm that it works outside the SE!

Just to add- you can choose a 'preferred sitter' once you have met somebody you like. We almost always have the same person as we book well in advance. We have a lovely back up too- we've always been able to have one or the other.

Have a look for your local family information service website, there should be a list of childminders there.
