If the house is going on the amrket I presume you will have a sign outside your house, and also adverts in local press. So it may become very obviosu to her next week anyway. Persoanlly I would tell her tomorrow, before she finds out herself.

not having a forsale sign up!
Mayb i could mention moving and saying not sure where and will let them know when we have found a property mayb?

Is the mum local though - just thinking of ads in local press.

yeah mums are all local!
There is a chance they might see it your right so letting them know so much is probably best!

I would tell your parents as soon as possible - it may take them time to make other arrangements. You are worried about losing cash but imagine if they lose their jobs because they lose their childcare. I think you have a duty to tell your parents now.

You are the one that is moving, so you may well just have to take the chance that you will end up without any mindees for a few weeks. It's unfair to tell them at the last minute and leave them in the lurch with no alternative childcare,

mykidzrmyworld · 30/03/2007 17:05

well i would give them at least 2mths notice anyway from time i sold my hse to time im moving!
they'd never be in the position of not having any childcare as I know there is plenty around here!
I have told parents im selling up today just didnt tell them i am relocatiing.(it didnt come up) I will do this once I have sold my hse so then they will have at least 2mths notice to find other care.

But how do you know it will take that long?
