CM CLUB..What to do 8-(

my one day per week toddler is here today, mum dropped off early at 8am said her dad had had a heart attack and is 2hr drive away in hospital, her mum with him but they driving to see him....i said i was working till 5.30(im not but i wanted to help out), so instead of picking him up at 1pm, she could leave him till then as im going out for birthday but not till 7pm..mum thensaid she would be back much alter than 6m as her dh has to sort something out for work???
id said 5.30 at latest as she he was only suppsoed to be with me until 1pm.

know i sound like a cow, but id said 5.30 latest as i dont go out and this is my meal out for birthday with friends..what to do..i have no idea what time to expect them now?..i have to get dd fed(ill do mindee tea aswell just incase), bathed and bed before i can get ready.do i sound heartless

i just feel awful for thinking about my night out when her father is ill..although she does have other family who could have ds, but for some reason took my offer and extended it??

No, it's your birthday hon don't feel bad. You made other arrangements. It's sad that her dad is going through this but you can't help your plans...

I know how you feel, it's awful saying no. bless you. Can you give her a ring and find out when she is coming?

thanks chick but its not till frieday but best mate's dh has booked them to see a show on friday so she wont be here(she wont hear last of it!)

mum has just rang her dad is 'ok' she knows about this stuff,and theyve been stuck behind a hay truck thats caught fire since 3pm and got no where so theyve arranged for dad's dad(grandad)to collect mindee at 5.45..just glad all round really, esp for her dad.off to do them some dinner now so one less thing for them when they get home
