You are really going to think I'm cheesy but I want to share with anyone who wants to listen why my childminder is great and how much I value her !! My DD has been minded for the last 2 years and a half and she's been so good to us. She minds my daughter full time even on Friday (day inwhich she should be off but she didn't want DD to go to nursery to pertub her), she does'nt make us paying full price, make us pay only when DD goes to her. She's so nice, so caring and my daughter is very happy with her. She really made things easier when I had to leave my DD when she was a tiny baby, I didn't have to worry to leave her. This morning I called her to tell her my DD was sick, we got chatting and she told me she'll take my baby as well at the end of the year if I wanted (due in 5 weeks). So the chilcare worries for this baby have ended...it feels so good, not to have to worry about it.At the end of the day, you chilminders look after the most important persons in our lives, our children, you should get recognition for that !!! Have a nice day !

its great when its so right!!i love ours too!!were thinking of not doing preschool/nursery but doing extra childminder days.we have married couple both childminders and there house is better equiped than local preschool and so much more fun(plus learning though as she did nvq3 in childcare)!i only pay £10 for 4 hours but try constantly to give more!!
there should be national childminders day!!

I think it's normal...I mean I wish I was able to work part-time but I can't so DD is 80 % of her time with childminder. My DD loves her and I'll never dare taking the mic out of her, by coming late, being exigent etc...
