I've just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, for four years the Doctors have been telling me it was Lupus, now the Doctor today has told me it is FMS.

He has taken me off the meds I was on and just told me to 'Educate myself about and he will see me in 3 months, and will talk to me about meds then !!!! The pain is awful, and I have codeine for the arthritis, but it dosnt touch the deeper pain, and nothing seems to help the fatigue.

Can you tell me what you were told.

Shosha, sorry to hear about the pain you are in, surely the Dr could have given you some stronger painkillers, but to have to wait 3mths (the Dr wouldn't if they were in pain).

I Think I'm going to see my own Dr tomorrow and talk to him, from the website it seems I should be doing gentle exercise, but I dont know what exercise!

I am really angry that he didnt really seem to want to help much. I was the last appointment of the day, and he followed me out of the hospital and to his car.

It was as if he didn't really have time to tell me much about it.

I know Saltire was Diagnosed last month, hope she might be able to tell, me a bit more.

Any one seen Saltire?

I'm not an expert but there's a world of difference between Lupus and Fibromyalgia,hmm

Meant to say it will be between 7 and 9 that I email, have dinner to get and DH needs to do some "important" work on the PC, although what's more important than MN?
