Hi, I just wondered if anyone knows when you can open up an account for the government scheme of tax free childcare, the one where you pay in 80p and the state pays in 20p on top?

Hi, do you have to wait until you've had your baby or can you do it while you're pregnant to start saving?

It is still in beta testing so not all functions work but the general concept is that you pay into each child account, get a top up, pay out from the account direct to the childcare provider.

Bubblegum - are you up and running?
I cancelled the old scheme to sign up for this, but so far they've been worse than useless.
I'm still not enrolled, the phone lines are rubbish and they don't seem to know what they are doing?

Anyone had success yet?

I run a nursery and one of our parents has paid June and julys fees via the 30 hours
The money goes into our bank account
There were issues initially where we couldn't log in to set up the account, but it all seems to be working now
