How to help my fab nanny find a new place?

My 2.5 year old twins are starting full-time nursery at the end of July, meaning sadly that our wonderful nanny will be leaving us. I would really love to help her find a new position with a family who will value her as much as we do, but other than emailing a great reference to the nanny agencies I know about (which I have done, along with a glowing recommendation), can anyone suggest what else I can do to help her?

She's been with us ever since the boys were 2 months old, and she really is fantastic, we see her more as a family friend than our nanny. We are going to miss her terribly, but I would like to do this one last thing for her if I possibly can. Any suggestions gratefully received - and if anyone knows of a family who is looking for a fabulous nanny in the Woking area, please contact me!

Do you go to a twins club? Mention it there as there may be other parents with twins looking for childcare.

Unfortunately I don't, no, I work full-time so the twins are either with our nanny or at nursery.

Hi!

We are looking for a Nanny in Clapham Common to take care of our 7 months old son, the right person would start by the end of September. It would be a full time Nanny working from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm. World your Nanny be interested?

Anyone knows a good Nanny in the área?

Thanks!

I can't help, but I think you're being really lovely. Flowers
Do try and keep in touch with nanny if poss, my sister did and the DCs Absolutely adored their nanny and loved keeping in touch for coffees or lunch every so often!

@Almu80 I've passed on your message to our nanny, thanks for posting it!

@Flamingo Oh we are definitely going to keep in touch as much as humanly possible, my children adore her and she's raised my twins almost as much as we have, so they would be devastated not to see her.

Dear Arianrhod,

My husband and I are currently looking for a nanny for our 7-month old son. We are relatively new to London (I am from the States and my husband is from Germany) and this is our first time scouting for a carer for our child. Initially my mother was taking care of by son but she has to return back home to Paris to sort out a few things at the end of the month which has left us in a bit of a bind! I am only searching for nannies based on recommendations as I'm quite nervous to find someone via agency, etc. We currently live in a new build in Wembley Park with potential to move back to West Hampstead. If your nanny is still interested, do let me know! My e-mail is: [email protected]. Thanks!

@ruthsheledily I'm afraid Wembley Park would be too far away, as she lives in Woking. Hope you find a good nanny soon, they're priceless!
