Hi just after a bit of advice as im confused. My daughter is entitled to a free 15 hr place at nursery in September when she turns 2. I want to keep her in the nursery shes in at the mo, she only does 6 hours. i only really want her to do 9 or 12 hours, but do you have to use the full 15?

No, you can use as much as you wish. Even a split over 2 nurseries if you like.

It's fifteen hours times 38 weeks iirc - so if you are using nursery all year round then it's more like 12 hours a week.

Nurseries work this out differently and I really don't understand how and they may have restrictions on how funded hours can be used, so it's worth talking to them now to see what their policy is.

No.

My Dd did 12 hours a week

My Ds does the full 15
