Hi Guys, could you have a read of this and see what you think as im worried it sounds too fomral???

Dear Parents

I would like to confirm with you all, the holidays which I have planned for this year.

Any other holidays will also be given to you with at least 4 weeks notice as per our contract.

If you still require childcare on these dates, due to your work commitments, please speak to me and I can give you details of the Childcare Information Service and Emergency Childcare as to whether they could help provide temporary care on these dates.

As we agreed on our contracts, ½ fees are required during my holiday periods. I will speak to each individual family to discuss their amounts personally, then
Each amount would need to be paid into my business account on the Monday of each week or the day your child is normally with me if part time, whilst I am away.
I will ensure you all have my bank details prior to my holidays.

If you have any questions at all please contact me on xxxxx zxxxxxx of an evening, so we are able to talk without interuption.

Confirmed Holidays

Friday March 30th

Wednesday April 18th

Monday August 20th until Saturday September 1st
(Return to work Mon September 3rd)

If you too have any holidays planned, I would appreciate it if you could let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks for your time, Take Care

Joe

i agree with dmo that it sounds like you are "looking after them" too much but if your like me then you are proberly doing it because you feel guilty for having a holiday!!

put a sep letter about fees such as:

revised fee policy March 2007
full time children
fees will go up to £3.20 per hour from April 07, full fees will be payable in your childs absence and for all statutory bank holidays. half fees will be payable during the settings 4 weeks holidays closure. no fees will be payable if the setting is closed for sickness reasons. fees must be paid on your childs first day of attendence to the setting, a fee of £4 per day will be charged for late payment, when the setting is closed for hoildays fees must be paid for on a monday as late payment fees will occur.
two weeks notice is required if your child is leaving the setting or if your childs hours/days are going to change.

i do this sort of letter for full time children, term time children, before and after school children and school hoilday children
