Apologies for the moan but I am so glad today is over!!!!!

It started badly when mindee1 arrived 40 mins early. I was expecting him a bit early but was also expecting his mother to call last night to tell me what time they were coming! He threw a tantrum on the doorstep then I managed to catch my jumper on the lock of the door and ripped it!!!!! It's pretty much gone down hill from there.

BUT it's over now and I have 3 days with no mindees.

It's funny coz last week I was reading something about giving time-out to children who mis-behave and was thinking how lucky I am that my mindee's are so easy and I never have any trouble with them. Then this week, 2 weeks after his 2nd birthday mindee1 has become really tricky. He shouts at everyone, takes toys, and general terrible 2 yr old stuff!! He and other 2 yr old mindee are constantly bickering and it has driven me bonkers this week. If anyone has any tips/techniques to difuse ww3 breaking out every 5 minutes I'd be very grateful!

I'm going to go and have a well-deserved lie-down in a darkened room with a large vodka and Hugh Grant (on dvd unfortunatly!!).

Sorry for the moan!!!!!!

Poor you!! It's always fatal to congratulate yourself isn't it?
Enjoy your time off and gird your loins, they are two, that's how it goes.
Plenty of physical activity always helps.
Good luck for next week!

Poor you, I've had a bad week too and am also off now I don't work again til Tues and it's early pickup (around 4.30 instead of 6.30) for 2 days then Thurs off

Enjoy your drink, I'll be joining you soon!

Fingers crossed we both have a better week next week.

As for advice on behaviour, I'm lucky that my mindees have always been good with me but 1 who I gave notice to as it was more a lifestyle thing and he was never going to change! It's my own ds who I struggle with. Having said that, my 19 month old is showing signs of changing from an angel to 'princess NO!'

Had a 2 hour lunch with my friends then a nice stroll along the river. Picked up my ds from school. Had him in bed by 6.30pm and have just had pizza with my friend!!

I keep thinking it's Saturday so will have a nice suprise tomorrow when I realise the weekend has only just started!!

I hope everyone else's week got a bit better!!
